Filip Szczepanik and Jakub Karyś – founders of Selmo, a platform and app that automate sales on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok – have become finalists of the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition in the “New Business” category.

Selmo is Europe’s leader in live commerce and video commerce – channels that are transforming the face of e-commerce. Every month, the Selmo ecosystem processes millions of orders from client stores. Nearly one million users already use the app.

The company offers a system for automating sales conducted through social commerce channels (a SaaS platform) and a marketplace where consumers can make purchases directly during live streams and via video (the Selmo App). It is used by entrepreneurs selling on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) through live streams, posts, and stories. These solutions address the needs of a previously overlooked target group in an innovative way.

Since its inception, Selmo has been setting trends, creating market standards, and actively building value for its users by helping them acquire new customers, launch better-performing channels, and increase sales.

Jakub and Filip have been building Selmo since 2020. This is their third business together. Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder has been supporting Selmo’s development from the very beginning.
