Pathfinder nominated for the “Venture capital fund of the year” award Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder has been listed as one of the three funds nominated for the title awarded by the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. The aim of Nagrody PSIK is to recognize private equity/venture capital funds managers for their achievements on the Polish PE/VC market and venture philanthropy initiatives.

Pathfinder invests in chat commerce Gizmi.io is the first chat commerce platform in Poland to turn popular messaging apps into shops, allowing online entrepreneurs and influencers to sell directly from within the app. The startup was created as part of the Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder venture building ecosystem.

StreamCards raises PLN 2 million to revolutionise the world of esports streaming In 2020, more than 435 million people watched esports events. The popularity of esports tournaments keeps increasing, but for spectators it has been a passive form of entertainment - until now. That is because StreamCards, a start-up revolutionising the interaction of viewers with esports streams, is coming into the market. The company’s development is supported by Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder venture-building fund and has raised over PLN 2 million from external investors.

Data Platform for Esports and Gaming, GRID, Secures USD 10M Series A GRID Esports, a platform providing real-time in-game data from gaming matches and tournaments, has announced the completion of a USD 10 million Series A round of funding. The round includes leading investors in the gaming, iGaming and tech industry. GRID was co-founded by Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, who remains one of the main shareholders.
